Teresa has been working in the assistive technology industry for over 17 years. Her goal in starting Glass Seating & Mobility was to develop a clinical center of excellence for both adults and children. In 2006, she was recognized in HME News as one of “Ten Women Who Call the Shots”. She serves on the Tennessee Rehab Council and Tennessee Association of Healthcare. She also is a member of NRRTS, National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers, RESNA, Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America, and US Rehab.

Lynn Monahan Bates OTR/ATP/CRTS
Lynn received her BS in Occupational Therapy in 1983 and her Masters in Public Administration in 1988. She has worked as a therapist and provider in a variety of settings over the past 25 years. She has published articles, was a contributing author of “Seating and Mobility for Persons with Physical Disabilities”, delivered professional lectures, and was an adjunct instructor for the UT-Memphis occupational therapy students in the area of technology. Most recently Lynn has focused her energies and time in the equipment provider arena as a Rehabilitation Technology Supplier. Lynn is RESNA ATP certified and also is a CRTS with NRRTS. She specializes in providing complex rehabilitation wheelchairs/seating positioning systems for people of all ages.

Melissa Ellen OTR/ATP
Melissa received her BS in Occupational Therapy in December 1997. She worked in the acute and inpatient rehab setting for 3 years as a staff therapist before becoming Rehab Manager at Select Specialty Hospital of Memphis until January 2006. Melissa has been a Certified Brain Injury Specialist with the AACBIS since 2005 and is certified in Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation and Habilitation for the treatment of stroke and brain injury. She received her RESNA ATP certification in April of 2007. She is an active member of both the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Brain Injury Association. Her continuing education has been extensive in the areas of Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke and Brain Injury.

Bruce Lloyd, ATP
Bruce Lloyd has accumulated a wealth of 22 years experience in assistive technology applications. He began his career working in assistive technology in 1986 at United Medical. In 1996 he began working at Arlington Developmental Center where he was in charge of technical rehab support for the residents of that facility. Bruce also worked with several rehab consultants where he gained extensive knowledge in seating and mobility for the adult developmental population. Bruce worked under state order guidelines to evaluate and provide clients with the most updated rehab technology on the market. Bruce currently is with Glass Seating & Mobility where he is evaluates the needs of pediatric clients in the school systems as well as adults requiring complex rehab systems.

Shannon has worked in assistive technology for 7 years and started because of his brother, Thomas, who was diagnosed with Spinal Memingitis at 9 months old. He wanted to help other children and families with equipment needs. He worked with Mid-South Medical as an ATS/Technician in 2001-2002, and with Kustom Kinetics for over 3 years. He has worked with Lynn Bates for over 6 years. He started with Glass Seating & Mobility in 2007 and has achieved Red Star certification with US Rehab, CRTS through NRRTS and RESNA ATS certification.

Cary began his career in the field of Assistive Technology with United Medical INC in 1990 after spending 4 years working in the Physical Therapy Department at Baptist Rehabilitation Institute in Little Rock. He was the first Rehab Technology Supplier to achieve the ATP certification in Arkansas from RESNA. Cary has also worked for 2 ½ years on the manufacturing side as the Account Manager for Sunrise Medical (Quickie Designs). He is also a Guest Instructor for both the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Departments at the University of Central Arkansas where he teaches 5 classes per year on Pediatric and Adult Assistive Technology. Cary has devoted his passion and career to help the patients and therapists achieve the best possible outcome from every evaluation.

Darrien has been working in the field of assistive technology as a Rehab Technician since 2000. He is Red Star Certified with US rehab and has completed numerous continuing education courses in seating and positioning, manual wheelchair applications, and programming for power mobility. In addition to building seating systems and providing service and repairs, he assists in technical staff development. He has been with Glass Seating & Mobility since 2001 and has been an integral part in the growth of the company.

Heath has held many positions within the DME industry since beginning with United Medical INC in 1994. He has worked as a Delivery Tech, Infusion Tech and Warehouse Manager before becoming a Rehab Tech for National Seating and Mobility in 2004. Heath has had extensive training for repairs to Invacare, Permobil, and Sunrise Medical power products as well as training on Alternate Drive Controls and Sunrise Medical Seating products. Heath has received an Associates Degree from Arkansas State University in Business Management and is an invaluable part of the AT Team in Little Rock.

Vice President of Operations and Owner
Forrest supervises all staff with the exception of sales. His management responsibilities include billing, customer service, warehouse/inventory and technical service. Forrest has been in management for over 10 years with extensive service in government affairs. He moved to Glass Seating & Mobility part time in 2004 to oversee financial affairs and then moved to his full time current position as Operations Manager in 2005.

Billing and Intake Manager
Chad has been in the billing and reimbursement field for over 9 years. Eight of those years have been concentrated on DME billing and reimbursement. He has one year of experience with infusion billing and reimbursement. He has been in a supervisory or management position for the last 7 years with two different companies, overseeing a department of up to 6 people with a total A/R of over $1.5 million. He is versed in appropriate coding and billing and stays updated on the constant changes surrounding insurance and CMS with regards to complex rehab equipment.

Cindy has 20 years experience in a customer service role. She has worked with Glass Seating & Mobility since 2006 as a Customer Service Representative and became Supervisor in 2007. She is an integral part in making sure that each patient is taken care of from the initial referral, during the precertification process, to after the delivery of equipment.

Jerra has worked in customer service in the DME field for 9 years. She worked for Apria Healthcare for 7 years as a supervisor and worked on quality control for performance improvement. Jerra has been with Glass Seating & Mobility since 2006. She is responsible for billing all claims and accounts receivable.

Casey has 11 years experience in the medical field with 7 years of experience in DME. Casey is responsible for Memphis area referrals, including scheduling of appointments and providing accurate updates to patients and caregivers. She is in constant contact with hospital and insurance case managers, as well as physician offices. She is an integral part in making sure that each patient is taken care of from the initial referral, during the precertification process, to after the delivery of equipment.

Tonya has 12 years experience in the medical field and is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing. She has been at our Huntsville branch since October 2009. Prior to Glass Seating & Mobility she worked for seven years as an Office Manager at Madison Neurological, two years as an insurance biller at The Clinic for Neurology, and two years as an insurance biller/cashier at Crestwood Medical Center. Tonya has been certified in Medical Billing and Coding since 2003. Her role at Glass Seating & Mobility consists of scheduling evaluations, deliveries, and repairs, insurance preauthorizations, and making sure all paper work is done for insurance billing.

Angela has been in the medical field for 13 years. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 4 years in a nursing home and with Hospice. She then moved to a position internally and did the scheduling of the hospice home health aides. She started in the HME field in 2000 with United Medical as a Custom Service Representative. She also worked for Rotech as a Customer Service Representative. In 2004, she started with Bird and Bear Medical in the Assistive Technology department. She was the office manager and took care of all the referrals for rehab equipment. She was also a HME sales representative for Bird and Bear Medical from July of 2008 to January of 2009.
